Smith Micro is a good company, I've bought stuff from them before.  They're giving away Anime Studio 5 for free as a promo for the launch of version 6. Yay free graphics software!

Hm. It's tempting, except with my inability to do artwork what good would it do me?

Alas, I can visualize both Grand Central Arena and Polychrome as anime -- I even can see both series' openings clearly.

Of course, I wouldn't be able to license the music I hear. (I wouldn't even know where to find the right contacts for licensing anime/VG music)

Graphics software does help compensate for various graphical inabilities, although I suppose it helps if you have a compositional imagination. But hey, you have kids, maybe one of them would do something cool with it. It's always a good idea to let the kiddies on your computer, right? What could go wrong?
