In the midst of all the angst and bullshit, I had a very nice visit with ashnistrike and nameseeker this weekend, which cheered me up considerably.  Mike and Charlie were happy to make new friends, and I got to geek out with way cool women about babies, books, and writing.  Bliss! [*waves to ashnistrike & nameseeker*]

Ashnistrike has a gift for describing things, so we now have fun new names for a couple of the baby items.  We were already calling the swing "RoboNanny." Now the little mobile on it, that has animals that twirl around on sticks, is called "the rotisserie."  As in "He's bored with swinging.  Should we fire up the rotisserie?"



And the Diaper Genie has been redubbed the Diaper Dalek.

And we are delighted that you noticed that, because we hadn't noticed, and we have an odd sense of fun. We now say things like "do you want your little roasting animals now? Do you?" to him. Yay!
