A sunny day

It's summer, at least for today...sunny weather, nice just to be out walking at lunch. Coming back I was walking behind a gal in a flouncy short skirt, something not seen hereabouts for many months, on anyone (I don't have a skirt-wearing type of job, but I can rock a nice pair of sandals). Cute girl, but not ridiculously so. Nonetheless a construction worker nearly walked into me and a car nearly hit me, in both cases because they were looking at her and not at where they were going. Apparently the first day of bare legs in the summer affects Chicagoans the same way the first day of snow does in the winter - everyone forgets how to do normal activities. OMG LEGS!!!!

I also got to take some pics of the construction site on the corner - they're starting to put glass on the building, even though the upper floors aren't there yet. I'll post those soonish.

It's been a loooong winter. Skin on display is quite the event.

It has obviously been a long time since I've lived thru true heavy-duty winters. (Albuquerque's don't really count.)
