Torrefaction

So "the Dig" has a big personal sekret that's revealed in the course of the story, and so it structurally must also have a big non-personal sekret that's also revealed, to give the characters something to ostensibly be working on while the real work is being done on the personal level.

I already knew what the personal secret was, because that's the heart of the story, but I was having a little trouble with the specifics of the non-personal secret. Tonight, though, I finally figured it all out--the layer of truth, the layer of lies, and the reveal. Yay!

Unfortunately now it's sleepytime so I'll have to steal time later in the week to write the draft. But it'll be easier now that I know what I'm supposed to say.
