Today I let Charlie play at my computer for a while without interfering--I back everything up and keep all my software disks handy just on general principles, so what the heck. He seems to think the wireless mouse is a remote control, because he kept picking it up in the air and pointing it at the monitors and clicking, and then looked very pleased with himself when some random thing would happen as a result.

As for the keyboard, he managed to rename my "Texture Library" folder to "rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgyyyyyyy6655555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555- 5555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555y996+96+9+69+69+9+9++99+".

I'm starting the year off with a complete rebuild of my primary home workstation. Yesterday I installed Windows 7, Office 2007, and Photoshop. Here's what's left to install:

About 40 little 3d graphics utilities, assuming they work with XP mode

Probably 20 other things I will figure out as I go (I pulled an inventory of all software before I wiped the old build)

It's going to be a long week, but it'll be nice to have a clean build after several years of junking up the old XP one.
