At this moment, I am glad that

1. I changed out of my work clothes and into jeans and a tee shirt before I fed Charlie

2. My husband takes care of the laundry and house cleaning

3. My husband likes it when I walk around the house in my underwear

4. We have a little steam cleaner.

5. The rug in Charlie's room is more or less the color of baby vomit already.

It's the little things, y'all

I'm sorry, but this made me laugh way more than it probably should have. Hope he feels better soon!

Ah, baby projectile vomiting. I remember it well. The hub still has flashbacks.

It gets better.

Funny story that kinda fits:
Peaches was about 8 months old when she had a bad night of colic. I'd been through this before but it was her daddy's first time. Since all that could be done was the "rock and thump" he offered to take a turn while I took a nap.

I was awakened by him shouting my name, sounding frantic...when I ran down the hall I saw him holding the baby straight out from him, pointing away, and he looked completely panicked.

Me: "what's wrong!?!"
Him: "I don't know, I think she's really sick"
Me (taking what seems to be a fairly calm baby and checking for non-existent fever): "what makes you think so?"
Him: "she just spewed horrible looking stuff all over"
Me (looking where he is pointing): "that's the chicken noodle soup we fed her for dinner, I guess we need to call and check the unlisted ingredients, it probably has whey. She'll feel better now that it's out"
Him: "You are telling me that's normal!!?!? It shot like three feet out of her mouth, exorcist style"
Me: "keeps her from choking on it. Yeah, that's normal, she's been doing that for months, it's the whey, don't worry about it. She'll probably even sleep now."
Him (still looking shell shocked): "oh holy hell, that was amazingly gross"

So baby vomit can make good stories later. :P

Hope Charlie is feeling better now!
