Hot man picspam
May. 6th, 2009 10:43 pmHave I mentioned that I got Witchblade on DVD? That show had the most hot guys per capita of any show ever. And they are filmed with loving and gratuitous attention to their hotness. Hence, I bought the DVD.
Anyway, I've been figuring out how to do screen caps, although the DVDs are remarkably uncooperative. Inspired by
delux_vivens , queen of hot man picspam, I've gathered snaps of some of the gents, as seen in the S2 episode "Consectatio." I'm also screen capping the ladies (Malin Akerman is a guest in one episode, and gets tied up and menaced by a snake*, speaking of gratuitous), but they will mostly be in some other post.
Out of respect for the talented Will Yun Lee, I will share this picture of him with his shirt on:

Before sharing several pictures of him shirtless...

Then we have Eric Etebari...

And guest star Peter Mensah ...

...engaged in some sort of hot-assassin foreplay...

Thisfight dance of grappling starts off, by the way, with Nottingham (Etebari) vaulting himself up into the air while he strips off his coat.
No episode would be complete without hot esoterica geek Gabriel (John Hensley)...a lover, not a fighter, presumably.

Oh yeah, there's also a girl on the show...
(Yancy Butler...pretty! vulnerable! tough! pretty! vulnerable! tough!)

Oh Witchblade-the-show-not-the-comic, how I love thee.
Feel free to grab for icons or whatever.
*no, picky people, the snake does not tie her up, although that would rock

Date: 2009-05-07 02:44 pm (UTC)I have no idea when I'm going to have time to watch them, since they in the queue behind the most recent seasons of L&O:CI, Criminal Minds, and Doctor Who, all of which I haven't watched yet. But the screencaps make it sound as if keeping it in the queue, at least, still makes sense.

Date: 2009-05-09 01:22 am (UTC)I loved the first season a whole lot, and liked the way they ended it, when they didn't know they'd get a second season. The second season I was more meh about, but it wasn't bad.

Date: 2009-05-09 01:28 am (UTC):) What's hilarious is that the Will Yun Lee stuff comes from a completely plot-free scene of him doing an entire Tae Kwon Do practice routine, that basically just serves as a prelude to have him chat about unrelated stuff with Yancy Butler while he's covered in

Date: 2009-05-07 07:14 pm (UTC)The large quantities of eye candy sure as hell didn't hurt, at that.
Then I didn't have any cable around when the second season started, so I only saw two episodes of that. I must add it to my Netflix queue.

Date: 2009-05-09 01:30 am (UTC)Still, ass-kicking female protagonists are good even when the show's imperfect (um. Dollhouse is beyond imperfect, from what I hear, so I am not watching). So Witchblade is fun even when it's kind of sucky.
