New Kirk has enormous hair AND an enormous forehead. This is all wrong...Real Kirk has a big face and a tiny cranium, as befits his passionate nature.

Clearly their staff phrenologist/craniometrest was asleep at the switch when they cast this guy.

The thing that catches my notice is how young the new Kirk is. I always assumed that Kirk was in his mid-thirties. This kid looks like he's barely twenty. Spock looks younger, too, but that doesn't bother me so much.

I'm assuming the movie is going to be Degrassi Junior Trek, but if it's meant to be set in the same time period as TOS, then yeah, he's way young. I always figured Kirk was 33, like Jesus.

I was under the impression that this was supposed to be Star Trek: The Academy Years. Which would make "barely twenty" about right.
