marydell | New Doll (Picspam)

So, two weeks ago, right in the middle of all the work in the basement, my new "Limhwa ToYou Sara" doll arrived, after a 6-month wait. She had to immediately go hide in a drawer so she wouldn't get damaged by the dust or flying debris. Yesterday I finally got to take her out and start trying wigs on her, with varying results. These wigs were all bought as options for myElfdoll Hana Devil doll, and are all a little big for the Limhwa, but I'd rather not order new if I can make one of these work. I think I actually like the red fur wig shown in the first picture, but she will definitely need fairy wings if she's going to wear her hair all cray cray like that. (Or I might twist a couple of plastic fishies into her hair so she can be Delirium.)

She's an itty bitty thing--about 10 inches tall-- and she can wear clothes for Tiny Kitty Collier or some Bratz clothes. I think Barbie clothes will mostly be too big, but I haven't tested many yet. Shoes are probably hopeless so that has me leaning towards going the fairy route for her overall look, since presumably they don't need shoes, or I can say her shoes are magic and they're off walking around without her.

I'm extremely impressed by how pretty and detailed her sculpting is, considering her tininess.

Initially I liked this blonde wig on her, but I think it's a little formal--I like most of my dolls to be a little punky. Also the million articles about Prince William's engagement that I've looked at have made me start to think this looks like Princess Diana, which is not the sort of happy association I am aiming for.

I like the color of this wig but it's really huge on her, plus it's messy despite efforts to tame it.

...and a couple more with the wild wig. I'll have to poke around at Denver Dolls and see if there's something that suits her better. Otherwise I'll get some fairy wings and she can be as wild as she likes.
