marydell: My hand holding a medusa head sculpture (by me) that's missing its snakes (Default)

The construction of Mike's office is finished, yay! So now we're working on putting the basement, and everything in it, into its new configuration. I spent the evening tetrising furnature around in my study (which is next to the new office) so am too tired to post anything coherent. So have some pictures of Charlie with binkies on his toes instead.

(1. He can't put them on his own toes yet; he waves a binky at me and says "toes, toes" until I do it. 2. He can't stick a binky in his mouth with his toes...yet. We are encouraging toe skills since in some cases an agile foot is a good substitute for a hand. Arboreal locomotion, for example.)

*ded of squee*

Also, ObCluelessAdult comment: He's so BIG now!

Not clueless! He is indeed BIG, something like 38" tall at this point though not quite 2.5 years yet.

I'm still getting used to this concept that he's turned into a little boy already, having only been a baby for a very short while.

Same with my nephew :)

By CluelessAdult, I mean, all those Mom's-friends who go OMG YOU'VE GROWN when seeing you after months or years and you're all "Yeah did you expect me to shrink"

I'm using up all that squee on Charlie so that Nephew doesn't start giving me dirty looks in a year, 'kay? :)

Oh, right, those CluelessAdults. I always got "I remember when you were just a little baby!" Uh, that's great, lady, but I don't remember, so...uh? I do manage not to say that to my nieces & nephews although I am still bowled over by how old some of them are (they range from 3 yrs old up to THIRTY, eeek!)

And we are a pro-squee family, so go for it. Just don't tell Charlie he's a baby or you will get a very stern "NO" and the look of resentment (from him, not from me, that is).

Well, he's clearly a Big Boy, so I wouldn't be so silly as to confuse him with a baby!

(squee!)

You don't know me, I accidentally clicked to get Shweta's flist instead of my own, but I just needed to say that these rank right up there with the most adorable child photographs I have ever seen.

Thank you! (and nice to meet you!) He is a good subject--he is always doing something to crack us up.
