Flexiril is pretty good for my cramps, when taken in concert with a heap of advil.   But I have chronic esophagitis and reflux and whatnot.  I took a Flexiril this afternoon and about an hour later I lay down and napped for a while.  And woke up with a throatful of extremely burny stomach acid.

Flexiril is a muscle relaxant.  The esophageal sphincter is a muscle.  Fuuuuuuckk.

I'm feeling better now--have been for a few hours.  But I'm scared to lie down to sleep.

That makes sense. If you need to use Flexiril again, is there maybe a comfy couch you could sleep on with pillows so that your whole torso is at an angle? I had throat-acid recently and looked this stuff up. (For acid reflux, having just the head at an angle = bad, having the whole torso at an angle = good.)
