Why is it that whenever a group of people have fun, there's someone else to tell them to stop? I just posted about that yesterday wrt NaNoWriMo.
I think there are elements of steampunk that can be criticised, but it makes more sense for that to come from people within the genre who know it than those outside trying to condemn it.
