The Graveyard Book is the only audiobook in which I actually liked the music. Most audiobook companies have crap music, or if you're lucky, forgettable music.

At some point, I hope that the "disk one" annoucements will be skipped as well. Most people listen on MP3 players. I'm hoping some sort of MP3 based car stereo will replace CD players eventually.

I don't listen to audiobooks, but yeah...both of those would drive me to distraction. Ick.

So it's the entire audiobook you object to, not just the musical bits? :)

LOL..I guess it would seem that way. I don't mind the audiobook, just the unnecessary sounds, which remind me of the sounds generated by turning on and off computers, etc..

Ah, I get it! I am fond of computer noises (and of computers generally; I have been known to pet them and say encouraging things to them at times) but not audiobook music or chimey things.

I don't listen to audiobooks (I have a serious NPR habit), but I suspect the music might annoy me a lot.
