My Pakistani friends recommend the Imran Khan Foundation as a good charity doing flood relief stuff in Pakistan right now.  They're having a drive to try to raise $2 mil by the end of Ramadan.

Hmm, I'm not sure I would support a charity run by a politician, especially one like this.

(read the criticism section too)

Also, the foundation is not rated by Charity Navigator, while this one got 4 stars.

I like Charity Navigator but there are a lot of decent charities that aren't big enough to be rated. A lot of bad ones too. This one (the IK foundation) is well thought of by my friends from Pakistan, and it's currently focused on Pakistan flood relief. Does Islamic charities USA have a fund for Pakistan running? It looks like they are an anti-poverty charity rather than disaster relief but I didn't look up their website.

Pakistan politics is mostly beyond my ken, but it appears that he supports democracy and the rule of law, which is a plus, and it doesn't look like he's accused of stealing from his charity. Faint praise, I know, but again I'm going on the recommendation of people who have more knowledge than I do.

Yes, they do. And they say they've been working in Pakistan since 1992.
