marydellI keep encountering ads and magazine articles and suchlike for Julia Roberts' Eat Pray Love movie. I wish these things would go away. I had no interest in the book and I have no interest in the movie, but I keep encountering promotions for the damn thing because JULIA ROBERTS.
I don't even mind Julia Roberts. But I believe that anyone who has the time and money to go wandering around in the world's beautiful places for ages in order to discover herself and/or true love should only be allowed to do that if she's accompanied by a waspish interfering aunt. Preferably played by Maggie Smith. Also I imagine this thing is full of exoticism and cliche'd crap like riding elephants for no goddamn reason other than to be picturesque.
Mainly I'm annoyed at any movie about people enjoying a leisured existence. Because, you know, screw them.
