marydellDriving through one of the local mostly-Irish/German suburbs I was surprised to see a sign showing the mayor's name, "PATRICK TCHING. " It's an odd spelling for "Ching" so I figured I'd go look it up before assuming that that town has a Chinese mayor.
Turns out the sign is a little damaged; the mayor is PATRICK KITCHING and he's just as Irish as half of the other folks around here. Ah, well.
