This weekend we're doing the thing of having Charlie spend time wearing just training undies with no diapers, and going potty every 15 minutes and trying to stay dry. He's had a lot of practice using the potty, just not in staying dry yet, so although he's doing surprisingly well so far, there have been a couple of accidents. He uses the same toilet we do, because he's the world's biggest 3-year-old, so we have one of those toilet seats with a flip down potty seat built into the regular seat.

So, earlier today he banged his knee, and I had him on my lap to kiss it better, when I realized he was wet and therefore now I was also wet.

Me: Come on, Charlie, potty time, you're wet!
Charlie: Wet?
Me: Yeah, come on, we're *both* wet! Look! [pointing to my jeans]
[we hustle over to the potty and I put him on it]
Me: ok, let me take off your wet pants! [removing wet training pants]
Me: and now I'll take off my wet pants too! [removing jeans]
Charlie: [finishes up, flushes toilet, lets me put him in dry pants] bye-bye, pee pee!
Charlie: Okay Mommy, your turn! [flips toilet seat to grown-up setting]

Because if he's wet, and I'm wet, it must mean we BOTH had an accident!
