My doctor gave me flonase nasal spray to take for a week or two while I get through the current Foo.  I don't like nasal sprays but this one doesn't sting, so yay.  However, it smells JUST like the smell of the cold roses in the fridge at the florist's - the way they smell at the florist, really, not how they smell when you get them home.  That odd combo of roses, refrigerants, wet foam blocks, and wax paper.  I don't exactly mind it because it reminds me of some happy errand-running times with Mom when I was a kid...but I also don't exactly like it. And I'm wondering if this is an added fragrance--eau de florist--or just a feature of the medicine.

my ex used to use some prescription nasal spray, not sure what. and then she'd come to bed, and smell *just* like my grandmother's perfume. slightly, uh, offputting.

YES! That's exactly what I thought of Flonase when I was using it.

I had to stop it because of cost, but then afterward I found out Jan was really grateful I had since it bothered him so much.

I'll bet they add the rose fragrance to cover up the wet foam blocks, refrigerant, and wax paper smell it naturally has. :-)

Interesting. It seems too specific to be accidental, doesn't it? And yet who would make it smell exactly that way on purpose? :-)

Huh. I use Flonase regularly, and I've never thought it smelled of anything.

I got the wet styrofoam notes, but nothing else. Very annoying - am back on allegra again. That works well, except for a few days in the spring and fall each year.
